DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh joined us in the 7 Action News studio to talk about Council's appeal of the state takeover.
Wednesday Mayor Bing said he stands with Council in opposition to the takeover but he will not join them in the appeal.
"The law allows an appeal. It's called due process. And what you do is take that opportunity to articulately make your case that an emergency manager is not the only option," said Pugh.
Pugh says there was information left out of the financial review teams report to the governor as well as inaccuracies.
