DETROIT (AP) - An arts organization that moved into its new home in the Detroit Police Department's former Third
Precinct station earlier this year is hosting its grand opening Friday, Sept. 14. The celebration also marks the 10th anniversary for 555 Nonprofit Gallery and Studios.
The event will include live music and art activities, as well as a new exhibit featuring the work of studio members, past and present members, and artists who have exhibited with 555. You can get more information on the event by visiting http:// www.555arts.org.
The city closed the police precinct back in 2005 as part of a department-wide reorganization.
