DETROIT (AP) - Some Detroit businesses are offering discounts leading up to this weekend's annual Marche du Nain Rouge.
The tradition features masked and costumed revelers taking to Detroit's streets to banish the folkloric "nain rouge," or "red dwarf," and save the city from its woes. This year's Marche will be held on Sunday, March 24. The days will begin with a 5K run, called the Run du Nain Rouge. It's being organized by Tour de Troit.
The discounts and specials being offered by retailers and restaurants include 10 percent off all standard bicycle tuneups at The Hub of Detroit; "The Effigy Pizza" at Motor City Brewing Works and a discount on Detroit almanacs at Source Booksellers.
