DETROIT (WXYZ) - A Detroit woman caught car thieves on her surveillance camera as they stole her new Ford Fusion earlier this week.
In the video above, the suspect breaks into the car and waits for his accomplice to pull up in his truck and push the car toward the road to make a clean getaway.
When Michelle Townsel woke up in the morning, she says she had a terrible feeling that something was not right. That’s when she discovered her car was gone.
“I feel so violated—my stuff—laptop, everything that was personal to me was in my vehicle,” said Michelle.
Thankfully, Michelle has cameras mounted on the side of her west side house – and while the pictures are grainy, she’s hoping this video helps in some way.
The Fusion was later found gutted and destroyed in a neighborhood with many abandoned homes.
While Michelle is disappointed that her car is ruined, she's grateful she wasn't carjacked and that she was in the comfort of her home when the theft happened.
