(WXYZ) - Amidst a number of unknowns, Detroit City Council met to discuss restructuring options.
Councilman Kwame Kenyatta resigned on Friday. Gary Brown announced his resignation Wednesday morning in order to take a job with Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr.
7 Action News also learned Tuesday that despite being denied medical leave by Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr, City Council President Charles Pugh is no where to be found.
Another council member who may leave is Ken Cockrel, Jr. That would leave four of the nine positions open.
The Detroit City Charter states council members shall appoint people in vacant seats and council members discussed that process.
However, Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr could also sign an order saying the vacancies do not need to be filled for the rest of this year.
Candidates are running for Detroit City Council this year.
