(WXYZ) - A Detroit EMT is recovering Friday night after suffering a heart attack while giving a patient CPR.
The incident happened earlier Friday while the crew was on their way to the hospital.
Sources tell action news Joseph Hardman never stopped treating his patient.
Once they were at the hospital, he went to the emergency room himself, and later underwent surgery.
We're told both EMT Hardman and his patient are recovering a the same local hospital.
