Detroit Mayor Dave Bing speaks on city cash crisis

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Mayor Dave Bing held a news conference at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday to speak about Detroit's cash crisis.

Bing announced there will be more furlough days for city workers beginning January 1.

The announcement is in response to the city's projected $30 million shortfall.

 

 

A majority council vote stopped the Miller Canfield law firm from moving forward with advising Mayor Dave Bing during the financial situation in the city. A shot against the Milestone Agreement which was put in place to ensure money for the city, $10 million in bond money in November and $20 million in December.
