DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Police are asking for your help identifying a hit and run driver who killed a 20-year-old Detroit man.
It happened at 10:30 p.m. on May 1, 2013 as Jonathan Ingram crossed Gratiot near Harper.
Witnesses say a green van was speeding when it slammed into him.
“Those were his last words to me, ‘I love you,’” said Clotney Sears of her Grandson.
She says the last words that Jonathan Ingram spoke after helping her around her house paint a picture of who he was.
He was a respectful young man with dreams of someday finding love, having a family, and working on computers.
The family is finding some comfort in the fact that lives were saved because Ingram’s organs were donated.
His funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m. at Butlers Funeral Home on Morang.
If you have any information that could help find the driver who hit him, call Detroit Police.
