(WXYZ) - The national Memorial Day holiday is still weeks away, but the Detroit Police Department held its 40th annual memorial ceremony Friday.
The men and women who put their lives on the line to keep one of America's most dangerous cities safe hit the street to remember their brothers and sisters who are not there.
Two special officers were on everyone's mind: Brian Huff, who was killed in the line of duty 3 years ago and officer Patrick Hill who was shot three times in the head last month in a shoutout with a murder suspect.
