DETROIT (WXYZ) - A shooting victim crashed into a Detroit fire station early Saturday morning.
It happened at the station known as Ladder 19 at Shoemaker and French Street on the city's east side. Firefighters were sleeping when they heard a crash. The battalion chief on duty says they rushed downstairs to find a shooting victim had crashed into a garage door. He was rushed to the hospital. Police did not know his condition early Saturday.
Police say they were soon were called to another location about a half a mile away on Harding Street. They found another man shot. The son of that victim says his father died of his injuries.
Police say they are still investigating what happened. Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit Police.
