WXYZ (Detroit) - Detroit police continue to search for the driver responsible for killing two well known Tigers fans.
It happened around 2:30 Saturday morning. Witnesses told police they saw James Van Horn, pushing his friend, Dreadlock Mike, in his wheelchair along Gratiot Avenue. According to police, the two men were walking in the right hand lane when they were struck and killed. The driver of the dark colored car kept going.
Van Horn was well known to fans for standing outside Comerica Park shouting "Eat 'em up Tigers'". Mike for his dreadlocks and wheelchair.
While friends and fans mourn their loss, Detroit police continue to search for the person responsible. They were able to gather evidence from the scene and are reviewing security video from nearby businesses.
