DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Police are working to identify a man and a woman found dead on the city’s eastside.
Neighbors in the 5900 block of Chatsworth say they woke to gunshots around 1:20 Friday morning. They called 911, then looked outside. They saw two people had been shot and killed.
A woman was still belted in the passenger seat of a Nissan Quest said one neighbor. The man was dead in the street.
Neighbors say they didn’t recognize the couple, and noticed the van had an Illinois license plate. They wonder if they were passing and found themselves in trouble. The shooting happened within eyesight of I-94.
Police say they are still investigating what happened. They have no one in custody for the crimes.
