DETROIT (AP) - Detroit Public Schools students can win prizes by creating videos for YouTube detailing why they are "in" to the district.
The contest is part of the district's enrollment drive and school readiness campaign. Three winners will be selected. The deadline for all entries is 5 p.m. on Aug. 20.
The 30-second to 90-second original "I'm In" videos have to be produced by students, uploaded to YouTube with a link posted on Twitter under the hashtag: (hash)ImInDPSVideo. Students must follow Detroit Public Schools on Twitter at http://twitter.com/detroitk12.
The first-place winner will receive a set of Beats by Dr. Dre Studio High-Definition Headphones. A $50 iTunes gift card will be awarded to the second-place finisher, while the third-place winner will get a $25 AMC Movie Theater gift card.
