DETROIT (WXYZ) - After a “glitch” at the city’s check disbursement office, officials with the mayor’s office say Detroit’s workers will be paid today.

“Yesterday, there was a problem for people getting their [pay] stubs,” a spokesperson told 7 Action News.

A problem characterized as a technical glitch prevented city workers from receiving pay stubs as they normally do on Thursday.

Workers generally receive their checks or their pay is direct deposited on Friday.

Mayor Dave Bing’s office said Friday morning that, “Everyone is being paid today.”

Workers who receive direct deposits should expect to see those in their accounts this afternoon. Those who receive paychecks will also receive those today.
