DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Sports Commission is rolling out the red carpet for people who will be in downtown Detroit during the World Series games!
According to VisitDetroit.com there will be 100 volunteers, with friendly faces, welcoming people during home games of the Tigers and Giants World Series.
Volunteers will be giving out Detroit Tiger buttons, restaurant and nightlife guides, orange and blue beads with Detroit Sports Commission medallions and DET sports bumper stickers. The idea here is to help as many people as possible realize the rich culture Detroit has to offer.
There will be many people from outside our city visiting and this is a perfect chance to show the world how special Detroit really is.
Volunteers will also get a Detroit Tigers sweatshirt and are advised to dress warmly because the forecast is calling for cold temperatures this weekend at Comerica Park.
However, no matter what the weather turns out to be, we know the Detroit Sports Commission will be doing everything they can to make sure our city is representing in the best way and promoting all that we have to offer!
