DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Tiger pitcher Doug Fister spent the day before Independence Day hanging out with some of America's veterans.

Veterans from the VA Medical Center will get free tickets to Wednesday's Tiger game and they will participate in the Salute to the Armed Forces and Veterans at Comerica Park.
