(WXYZ) - Did you watch the premiere of AMC's new cop drama 'Low Winter Sun'? What did you think?
The show has been filming all over Detroit and debuted Sunday night. You could see familiar Detroit landmarks and places throughout the premiere.
Low Winter Sun is a cop drama that tells a story of murder, corruption and revenge.
The show is based off of the 2006 award-winning British mini-series and stars Mark Strong who is known for his roles in Zero Dark Thirty, Sherlock Holmes and Body of Lies.
7 Action News Reporter Erin Nicole spoke with the cast and crew leading up to the premiere.
Mark Strong told Erin that the show “plays with your moral compass a bit and asks you to accept behavior that might not be normally acceptable.”
"We all kinda fell in love with Detroit pretty quickly,” another cast member said.
Executive Producer Chris Mundy was the man responsible for bringing the show to Detroit. They filmed the pilot episode last September and then came back this past April to film the rest of the season, hiring a lot of locals on cast and crew. Chris plans to continue to film here in Detroit if the show is picked up for a second season.
Actor David Costabile also stars on the show and is a familiar face on AMC with his role on Breaking Bad. David says that “even though, from the beginning, you know who done it, there is a great thriller aspect through the whole thing.”
