DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Public Schools are hoping to save $85,000 by holding an online auction Thursday for items from the old Southwestern High School.
The school closed earlier this year and inventory is now being liquidated.
The district says it will save money by holding the auction online because they will not have to pay to move the items to a warehouse.
The auction is taking place on biddergy.com .
You can preview the items by clicking here .
The auction takes place Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are unable to bid online, you can call Biddergy.com's office at (866) 260-1611 to make alternate arrangements.
You will need to pick up your items on Friday.
Some of the items being auctioned off include: professional-grade kitchen equipment, lockers, metal cabinets, metal sinks, rolling cabinets, student desks, technology tables, fans, office chairs and mini fridges.
