DETROIT (WXYZ) - Distraught family members are pleading for help to find Monte Williams Junior.
The 25-year old man went missing on September 11 and hasn’t been heard from since.
“We’re asking for all friends, anyone who knows him to step forward and help us located and find him,” said Alicia Williams, one of his four sisters.
Williams told 7 Action News that Monte was last seen at the home he shared with his girlfriend on Dresden Street on Detroit’s east side. His cell phone and car were left at the house but there’s been no sign of him since.
The Williams family filed a missing persons report with Detroit Police and they’re desperately seeking answers on where he might be. They fear he may have even been kidnapped.
Detroit Police are now actively investigating the man’s disappearance, according to Commander Steve Dolunt of the Eastern District.
Flyers have been posted throughout the neighborhood and in businesses in the area around Eight Mile Road.
Williams is also known by the nicknames “Lil D” or “Lil Man.” He is 5’6” and weighs about 170 pounds.
The family plans to gather Sunday at 3 p.m. in the parking of Glory Market at 8 Mile and Dresden to pray. They’re also asking for help to search for their brother.
“He’s the only male we have,” said Williams. “We don’t have help to get anyone to properly search this neighborhood for him. My heart tells me he’s still here and we’re asking for help.”
