DETROIT (WXYZ) - A hearing date was set today for Kwame Kilpatrick to testify about his book proceeds before a Wayne County Circuit Judge.

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will appear  before Judge David Groner on March 12, presumably after his federal trial has concluded.

Kilpatrick appeared today before Judge Groner for a status conference, flanked with a new lawyer: Todd Flood.  Flood last represented Kilpatrick during the text messages scandal.
