DETROIT (AP) - More changes are expected to start Saturday along Detroit public bus routes.
The Detroit News is reporting the addition of a midnight bus along the Dexter route from the Rosa Parks Transit Center in downtown Detroit.
Changes during the week will also include an additional 30-minute wait between buses from 7 to 9 p.m. along the Michigan route. But the time between buses on Greenfield will drop from 30 minutes to 23 minutes.
Transportation officials say the changes are based on transit demands and are designed to make travel times more efficient.
Mayor Dave Bing has pushed the revamping of the city's public transportation. Some routes have been cut completely due to low ridership, while others have seen additional buses added.
