DETROIT (WXYZ) - There will be lots of great food in Downtown Detroit as barbeque ribbers from across the country converge on Hart Plaza for the 18th annual Ribs n' Soul Music Festival. It'll take place August 9, 10, 11, 2013.
On Sunday, August 11th, chefs from around the country will smoke, grill and season ribs to perfection during the tasty Rib Cook Off. This year, 15 grillers will compete for the Best Ribs and Best Sauce title. Each winner will receive a 3ft trophy and bragging rights.
Music acts set to take the stage this year include Loose Ends, Angela Winbush, The Maryjane Girls and Detroit's own Enchantment.
The El bethel Church with Pastor Glass will present a full service Sunday morning. It'll be followed by a Gospel Showcase starring “Gospel divas ” at noon. The 3-day music fest will also feature a health expo, Art on the River, an African village, a Business Expo, and Kid’s Zone.
Ribs n' Soul is free all day Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday until 2pm. You'll be charged $3.00 after 2pm.

Saturday, August 10 th: 11am- Midnight
Sunday, August 11TH: 11am – Midnight
