DETROIT (WXYZ) - Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal shooting on northbound I-75 near Mack Avenue.
An MDOT Courtesy Van driving northbound on the freeway discovered a shot up GMC SUV on the side of the road at around 3:40 am Saturday.
The Courtesy Van driver went to check on the driver and discovered her slumped over the wheel. He then called Michigan State Police.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Jennifer Ann Scavone of Sterling Heights.
Video from the scene shows bullet holes in the passenger side windows.
The freeway was shut down for several hours while troopers investigated and collected evidence.
Police say no one is in custody.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
