DETROIT (WXYZ) - Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Bobby Ferguson have arrived at a federal prison in Milan.

Judge Nancy Edmunds immediately remanded Kilpatrick and Ferguson to the Federal Correction Institution at a bond hearing following the multiple guilty convictions in federal court that were read earlier Monday.

"Detention is required in his circumstance," Judge Edmunds said.

Kilpatrick appeared to be in a daze during the hearing. His eyes look tired, and he seemed worn down.

Both Kilpatrick and Ferguson left the court in handcuffs.

Bernard Kilpatrick will remain out on bond until sentencing.
