DETROIT (WXYZ) - A failure with the lights at Comerica Park caused a delay in Game 3 of the Tigers/Red Sox American League Championship Series.
The lights were out for about 20 minutes.
DTE says a problem with a cable near the stadium compromised the power feed to Comerica. That tripped equipment inside the facility.
A secondary problem occurred when a power surge happened when DTE was in the process of getting the power back on.
DTE says power has now been restored to both feeds into Comerica Park.
