DETROIT (WXYZ) - A man was shot by police early Friday morning on the city's west side.
It happened near Warren and Warwick when two patrolling officers saw the 44-year-old suspect walking with a gun.
When police told the suspect to drop it, he instead pointed it at the officers and shots were fired.
The suspect was hit and taken to the hospital. He is listed in temporary serious condition. The officers were not injured.
