Man to be sentenced in death of Detroit police officer

DETROIT (WXYZ) - A New York man charged in the death of a Detroit police officer will be sentenced Monday.

Police said 30-year-old Saddam Mohsin was drunk when he hit Officer Charles Armour while driving the wrong way down a road in Greektown in June. Armour was on foot patrol at the time. He died from his injuries a week after the accident.

Mohsin was charged with Second Degree Murder and Operating Under the Influence Causing Death.

Mohsin faces up to life in prison.
