DETROIT (WXYZ) - Governor Snyder, Mayor Bing, Senator Stabenow and other leaders will be in attendance to mark the opening of the first integrated healthcare center in Southeast Michigan.
5716 Wellness will open Friday, June 17. The center is named for its important role to serve low-income and underserved families in Southwest Detroit. Established through a partnership with Covenant Community Care and Southwest Solutions , the center will provide medical, dental, obstetrics, behavioral healthcare, counseling and other human services.
Located at 5716 Michigan Avenue, the center is a four-story structure that was once a cigar factory designed by Albert Kahn a century ago. The center will be home to six agencies that will enhance the health and well being of the community.
