DETROIT (WXYZ) - Police have raided an after-hours club on Detroit's west side. It happened in the area of Baltimore and Woodward at the building known as 29 Baltimore.

Officers say approximately 130 people were arrested or ticketed, including a 16-year-old. Police confiscated six guns, almost 50 cars and about $10,000 in cash during the raid.

The building has apparently been under surveillance for several weeks. Wayne State University police say they had received several complaints about the blind pig in recent weeks.

Witnesses say undercover agents drove up in a limo around 4:00 a.m. and swooped into the building.

Once inside police say they found alcohol and drugs being sold on the first floor. Police also say that on the second floor there was a shower area and several rooms being used for acts of prostitution.

Wayne State University Police Chief Anthony Holt said in a press release, "This was one of the largest brothels operating in the City of Detroit."

Wayne County Sheriff deputies, along with several other agencies were involved in the raid.

“This kind of blatant lawlessness will not be tolerated. Criminal activity of this kind not only leads to other crimes but it detracts from an area that is trying to rebound," Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon said in a news release.

The Wayne County Sheriff Department's Chief of Police Operations, Ray Washington said, "this is a quality of life issue."

Washington added it's important to the department to get in front of this issue and find out what's going on because these illegal activities tend to breed other illegal activity.
