Total spending is expected to reach $18.6 billion.

Restaurants will benefit the most from the spending increase. Americans will spend the most money on dining out, about $3.4 billion.

Americans will also spend about $2.2 billion on flowers, $1.8 billion on gift cards and $1.6 billion on clothing and accessories for mom.
