DETROIT (WXYZ) - Triumph Church will host "The Church Has Left the Building," its annual Family and Friends Day, on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
Multi-platinum recording artist and pioneer Kirk Franklin will lead praise and worship during the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services at Chene Park, located at 2600 Atwater Street in Detroit.
Franklin has spent nearly 20 years as the best-selling contemporary gospel artist of all time. The multi-award winner earned two Grammy Awards and four Stellar Awards for his last album, Hello Fear.
The author of The Blueprint: A Plan for Living Above Life's Storms, Franklin is also host and executive producer of the original series "Sunday Best," the highest rated gospel show in BET's history, now heading into its sixth season.
Admission to both worship services is free. Doors will open at 8:00 AM for the 9:00 AM service and approximately at 10:45 AM for the 11:00 AM service.
