DETROIT (WXYZ) - There is a section of storefronts right along Woodward that is changing the whole concept of window shopping.
Vibrant, colorful and interactive are just a few words to describe one of the hottest concepts to hit the store fronts in the city of Detroit.
It’s called virtual retail and instead of actual merchandise, it will feature product images with a QR, or quick response, codes that shoppers can scan using their smart phones to either buy the item or obtain additional product information, which definitely brings the new meaning to the phrase window shopping.
Dan Mullen of Bedrock Real Estate Services says that it’s to “really to inspire more brick and mortar retailers to come in the future.”
