(WXYZ) - The ninth annual Motown Winter Blast is underway in Detroit.
The festivities began Friday at Campus Martius. The event lasts through Sunday, February 10.
Attendees are enjoying a lineup that includes 54 local bands, 14 restaurants and several winter activities like ice skating.
"The Winter Blast continues to grow each year and we're excited to have these new activities while still providing attendees their only chance to ice skate for free at the Campus Martius Park rink thanks to Charter One Bank," said Jonathan Witz, event producer.
Free snowshoeing, dog sledding and snowmaking are among the many family-friendly winter activities.
Event hours:
-Friday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
-Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
-Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
