DETROIT (WXYZ) - Police are investigating a single car accident that ended with a sedan sitting on its roof on a Detroit front lawn.

It happened in the 19000 block of St. Aubin on the city's east side.

Police say a 21-year-old man lost control of his car and slammed into the porch of a home, before overturning. The porch suffered severe damage in the crash.

Speed does appear to be a factor in the crash.

The driver wasn't badly hurt, but his father did take him to the hospital to be checked out.

Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
