DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh wasn't injured in a traffic accident that occured outside the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
It happened Wednesday.
Pugh's press secretary says the City Council President was going through a green light in his city issued car when a second vehicle made an illegal left turn and clipped the car. The city issued car did suffer some minor damage.
A police report was filed.
This is the second time Pugh has been involved in a car accident while driving a city vehicle. The first accident happened in February 2010. In that accident Pugh was driving southbound on I-75 when, he said, he swerved to avoid an speeding car and hit an exit sign near Mack.
