DETROIT (WXYZ) - The NHL lockout may be keeping hockey out of Hockeytown. But that won't keep fans off the ice at Joe Louis Arena tomorrow.
The Red Wings will allow fans to take to the ice tomorrow as part of the Hockeytown Thanks Initiative.
Four, one-hour sessions are being held: 10am - 11am, 11am - 12pm, 12pm - 1pm, and 1pm-2pm.
Mandatory pre-registration is required to participate.
You can register at DetroitRedWings.com/OpenSkate . Positions will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Fans are asked to bring their own skates.
Admission and parking to all sessions is free. Participants will get complimentary parking at the Joe Louis Riverfront Lot. There will also be discounted concessions available.
