DETROIT (WYXZ) - EMS crews responded to the scene of an accident involving a school bus.

It happened at Plymouth and Meyers, on Detroit's west side. That's near the Third New Hope Baptist Church.

The bus was servicing  Mackenzie Pre-K to 8 School when it was involved in a crash with a Buick.

The car was badly damaged with its whole right side smashed and windshield cracked. 

Four people were taken to the hospital, two from the car and two from the school bus.

The woman driving the Buick said her brakes went out right before the crash. 

No details are known about the extent of any injuries. However, there are reports that children were injured in the crash.
