HARRISON TOWNSHJIP, MICH (WXYZ) - A search is underway in Harrison Township for a hit and run driver.
Just before 11 o'clock Saturday night, a 17 year old girl riding a bicycle was hit by a driver of a Toyota Corolla who just kept driving.
Witnesses are telling the Macomb County Sheriff's Office the girl was riding her bike south on the shoulder of northbound Jefferson Avenue, just south of Crocker Road, as the black Toyota Corolla was heading north. The Toyota, believed to be of the 2003-2007 model years, went off the road and hit the girl on the bike.
It continued north after the accident with some damage to the front passenger side.
The girl, from Harrison Township, is in the hospital and listed as serious but stable condition.
