(WXYZ) - 7 Action News has learned that a third person has died in a deadly morning crash that closed Woodward at Cortland, on the border of Highland Park and Detroit.
Woodward was shut down for hours while police investigated.
Sources tell 7 Action News Highland Park Police were trying to pull over a vehicle and the driver refused to pull over. They backed off to avoid a dangerous situation but the vehicle eventually crashed.
Sources tell 7 Action News at least three people are dead and at least two vehicles were involved; a van and an SUV.
It's not clear at this point what vehicles the three people who died were in.
One of the vehicles caught fire but was put out.
