Police are investigating the shooting of two teens near Mumford High School on Detroit's northwest side.
A 14-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were shot just after school let out on the first day. The shooting did not take place on school property, but was just feet away.
The shootings happened near Wyoming and Santa Clara.
Witnesses say there was a fight at the school and it spilled out into the streets. Other students say the teens who were shot were innocent bystanders.
Both of the victims were taken to Sinai Grace Hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. Police are questioning a few people and believe one may be the shooter.
