DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Bomb Squad  responded to the scene of a suspicious package in a neighborhood near Durfee Middle School.

There was concern that the package may have contained an explosive substance.

It happened on Detroit's west side at a home on Calvert near Linwood. Durfee Middle School and Central High School were placed on lockdown.

Police are not releasing any further details at this time.
