DETROIT (WXYZ) - Nine people were taken to the hospital with injuries after a bus crashed into an SUV.
It happened around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday along Mack near St. Jean on Detroit’s east side. A dark gray SUV was pulled over on the busy street in a no standing area when it was hit.
A D-DOT bus was also traveling in the westbound lanes and was behind the SUV. The bus driver looked down at his schedule when passengers started screaming to alert him.
The bus rear-ended the SUV and the vehicle flipped.
Six people on the bus and three in the SUV were taken to the hospital. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
