DETROIT (WXYZ) - It’s a place that gives area teenagers an opportunity to come together and learn how to stay on the right track.
Teen H.Y.P.E. stands for Helping Youth Providing Education and it’s based in Detroit.
Inside a building on Martin Luther King Boulevard, teens are learning how to rise above the influence of peer pressure.
Since 2004, the Teen H.Y.P.E. family has been turning out young people, armed with sexual health information, good study skills and on-stage performance skill.
Now, the group is asking the community to vote for them in the Chase Community Giving contest on Facebook.
Chase is donating $5 million to local charities across the country. Voting ends tonight at midnight.
