Excitement surrounds event that could bring Detroit millions of dollars

DETROIT, Mich (WXYZ) - There is excitement in Detroit about about an event that could end up netting our city millions of new dollars.
It is the Teams 12 conference. The event bring in organizers of sporting events, venders and suppliers to see what Detroit and other cities have to offer in the way of venues. This is the first time the conference has been held in Detroit.
The main exhibits are at Cobo Center, the opening ceremony was at Joe Louis Arena and there will be tours of Detroit's Ford Field, Comerica Park and every other place where a sporting event could be held.
Every year the Teams 12 conference is held in a different city but Detroit sports executives are happy to have it in town this time around.
They are hoping that, in the end, Detroit will get many new events, anything from the Junior Olympics to all kinds of tournaments.
If the city does gain new events, it will bring much needed funds into the area, not to mention the fun that comes with the events!
