DETROIT (WXYZ) - Thousands of people showed up hoping to land a job at the Quicken Loans job fair in downtown Detroit Saturday.
The company was looking to fill about a thousand positions in technology, operations and mortgage banking departments. In what looked like a round of speed-dating, applicants sat down with recruiters hoping to impress.
“Being a recent college grad, knowing it’s hard to get a job in our market,” said Mario Johnson, “And to receive a job on site, is something that you don’t see in our time. So I’m very excited for it to happen.” Johnson was hired on the spot for a position in the mortgage department.
