Tips sought in weekend murder of Port Huron man killed in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit police are asking for the public's help in tracking down the person who shot and killed a Port Huron man who'd just bought drugs on the city's east side.

It happened on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at a home at Marcus and Fischer streets near the Van Dyke street exit from Interstate 94.

Investigators say the 37-year-old victim had just bought the drugs and was returning to his vehicle when someone approached him and opened fire. The motive behind the attack is not yet known. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Detroit police or Crime stoppers at 1-800- SPEAK UP.
