DETROIT (WXYZ) - Thousands of people marched to honor those who have served our country.

The 7th Annual Detroit Veterans Day parade, which is organized by the Metro Detroit Veterans Coalition, marched down Woodward Avenue Saturday morning.

Generations of veterans, from those who served in Vietnam to those who served in Afghanistan, walked together.

There were few spectators, but marchers hope the tradition will remind others of the sacrifice made by so many.
