DETROIT (WXYZ) - As the heat around metro Detroit climbs , the 7 Action News team is taking action for you. We’re handing out bottled water today all around town.
Bill Spencer and the Call For Action team have teamed up with Kroger. The grocer has worked to provide more than 10,000 bottles of ice cold water to help provide a little help on this 100 degree day.
Bill Spencer and the team are at Houston Whittier and Gratiot on the Detroit's east side.
Earlier Friday, they were at a location near a large senior apartment complex that has been without power.
If you could use a cold bottle of water, come say hello!
Look for Spencer and a team of 7 Action News interns near a large refrigerated Kroger semi truck.
Our team will be on the move throughout the day. We’ll let you know where we are going. Look here for updates, or follow @wxyzdetroit on Twitter .
