DETROIT (WXYZ) - A Wayne State University Police officer is under arrest on suspicion of criminal sexual conduct.

A twenty-three year old woman who is not a student says the campus cop pulled her over just after midnight and demanded a sexual favor in exchange for letting her go. She was apparently driving without a license.

The incident happened near Manoogian Hall on west Warren.

The woman called 9-1-1 and went to a hospital.

The university has released a statement which says in part:

An allegation of sexual misconduct by a citizen has been made against a Wayne State University police officer. The officer has been suspended without pay pending completion of the investigation.
