DETROIT (WXYZ) - Wayne State University is set to raise tuition costs.
The University Board of Regents has settled on an 8.9% increase for the fall. The jump is much greater than any other public university in Michigan.
Board members blamed a lack of state support for the increase.
The tuition increase means an extra $904 for a full-time undergraduate resident per year.
Wayne State says it's increasing financial aid by 11% to ease the burden of higher tuition.
